How does one use the AIVI function?

Updated on 2020/07/15
● To use the AIVI function, users must manually activate it (AI function on-off switch) via the app based on one of the following scenarios:
✔ In the case of newly paired users (including users paired for the first time and those paired again after resetting the unit), a guide on the AIVI function will automatically appear the first time the user launches the app. The guide will introduce the AIVI function and allow the user to choose whether to turn on AI recognition.
✔ In the case of users who are paired but who have never activated the AIVI function, the unit will put out an automatic message at a later time reminding the user to learn about the AI function. The user will be able to choose whether to turn on AI recognition.
✔ In the case of users who are paired but who have never activated the AIVI function, the user can also go straight to the “More” page and manually turn on AI recognition.
We recommend that unpaired users turn on the AIVI function immediately upon initial pairing.
●Once the AI function is activated, AIVI will be able to—and for now will only be able to—automatically recognize “shoe,” “slipper,” “sock,” “cleaning pad,” “electrical cord,” and “charging dock” and avoid these things on its own (by reducing speed and gently contacting them gently or not contacting them). When AIVI recognizes an obstacle, the unit will slow down, and the blue indicator light strip on the panel will flash twice.
●AIVI will be capable of recognizing additional objects in future software upgrades. Upgrade your unit in a timely manner through the ECOVACS Home App to ensure the unit has the latest functions.
●AIVI is best able to recognize objects in a well-lit environment. Dim lighting will significantly impede this function. For the best results, use the AIVI function during the daytime or turn on the room lights. Natural light will not affect the floor cleaning robot’s use of LDS to plan its cleaning. It will only potentially affect AIVI recognition.
